The purpose of this study is reveal the problem of personality education in korea and
argue the alternative approach of personality education. Character education is a important
part to child development. Character Education is a national movement creating schools that
foster ethical, responsible, and caring young people by modeling and teaching good character
through an emphasis on universal values that we all share. It is the intentional, proactive
effort by schools to instill in their students important core, ethical values such as respect for
self and others, responsibility, integrity, and self-discipline. But unlike other lesson plan,
personality education have many problems. The Focus group interview results say that
\"Personlity education have big problem\". The problem have 4 categories.
Many other country have personality education in the world, because personality education
is important. In our society must educate a child for personality educaion to preparation
future society. Alternative approach is creative character education. The concept of \"Creative
character education\" as a alternative approach is need and solve the problem in korea
education. Conducting creative character education or character building is not easy, so
needed many energy.
